The Stranger\'s SixOrange Peal RecordsSAN DIEGO?S THE STRANGER?S SIX SIGNS TO ORANGE PEAL RECORDS THE BAND?S FULL LENGTH DEBUT A DATE WITH DAYLIGHT IN STORES MAY 8, 2007 San Jose, CA, March 6, 2007 - Bay Area independent rock label Orange Peal Records (home to The Transit War) is thrilled to announce the signing of San Diego?s The Stranger?s Six. The newest Orange Peal rock band is a fixture at two of the largest rock stations in Southern California (FM 94.9 and 91X), playing alongside major international acts Panic! At the Disco, Franz Ferdinand, Hard-Fi and OK Go in their annual all-star concert, 91-XFest last summer. The band?s hard work and devotion to creating their own brand of fiery rock ?n roll is finally paying dividends. Glen Schwartz, head of artist and repertoire (A&R) for Orange Peal Records oozes with confidence in his latest signing: ?When I heard The Stranger Six?s unmastered record I booked a flight to see them absolutely kill it at the House of Blues. Within a month we had an agreement and to say that I am excited to have them in our lineup would be a vast understatement. Our powder keg of possibilities for 2007 is ready to explode.? The Stranger Six?s full-length debut with Orange Peal is called A Date With Daylight and will be in stores May 8, 2007. This previously unreleased album was nominated for Best Punk/Rock Album at the San Diego Music Awards in 2006. The Stranger?s Six was also up for ?Best Punk Band? in 2005 and 2006 by the San Diego Music Awards. The five-piece was also the only San Diego unsigned band featured on MTV2/Freedom Zone ?On the Rise? program. Having already played with a catalog of today?s biggest bands including Dashboard Confessional, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Living End, The Cult, The (International) Noise Conspiracy and As I Lay Dying, The Stranger?s Six are poised for take off. The Stranger Six?s front man Aaron Thompson says: ?The band is super excited to finally have a label like Orange Peal to work with us. We definitely feel these people are the right people to lead us to next level. We can finally feel secure in their hands to make a career out of something we are so passionate about.? Thompson calls The Sixxx ?... the perfect blend of sleaze and class.? Schwartz could not agree more: ?We are fully prepared for the next sleazy, classy adventure.? The boys will be supporting \"A Date With Daylight\" across the country and beyond in 2007, spreading their twisted gospel to the youth of the world. It all kicks off April 28 with a trek across the country for a month and a half with fellow rockers The Bangkok 5 (Los Angeles), Johnny lives (New York), and San Diego partners in crime Daredevil Jane.
