Subba-Cultcha Dec 18th, 2006 PLAIN WHITE T’S TO LAUNCH EVERY SECOND COUNTS TOURRECENT MTVU “WOODIE” WINNERS HIT THE ROAD IN SUPPORT OF HOLLYWOOD RECORDS DEBUT EVERY SECOND COUNTS
PLAIN WHITE T’S JUST ADDED TO THE BAMBOOZLE FESTIVAL 2007
(BURBANK, CA) Hollywood breakout artists PLAIN WHITE T’S are hitting the road in support of much-buzzed-about new album EVERY SECOND COUNTS. The tour, which features openers Boys Night out, Lovedrug and for the first three weeks Mayday Parade with Dear and the Headlights taking Mayday’s spot for the remainder of the dates, kicks off March 4th in Green Bay, WI. The band has also just been added to The Bamboozle Festival 2007 happening on May 5th & 6th in East Rutherford, NJ.
The Chicago-based quintet (Tom Higgenson, Dave Tirio, Mike Retondo, De’Mar Hamilton and Tim Lopez) recently won mtvU’s coveted “Breaking Woodie,” a “Best Emerging Artist” category in which they were nominated alongside the Arctic Monkeys, Chamillionaire, Imogen Heap and Lupe Fiasco.
“Hey There Delilah,” the Chicago-based quintet’s hook-ridden hit was also nominated for the “Streaming Woodie,” a category honoring groups with the most downloads.
The Plain White T’s recently wrapped the Nintendo Fusion Tour with Hawthorne Heights and also opened dates for Panic! at the Disco, including two nights at Madison Square Garden in NYC.
The album is generating heavy buzz thanks to lead single “Hate (I Really Don’t Like You),” which is garnering major airplay alongside its companion video, which is in heavy rotation on MTV, MTV2, mtvU and Fuse. The T’s were recently spotlighted on MTV’s “Discover & Download” program and appeared on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. On December 22, the band will appear on Cartoon Network’s Fridays.
Catch the band live when they come to your town.

The Take Action! Tour Benefits The Youth America Hotline! 1-877-YOUTHLINE (968-8454)
VAN NUYS, CA — December 6, 2006- The 2007 Take Action! Tour, the nationwide, charity tour that brings the issues of suicide and depression to the front page, has announced their confirmed 2007 tour dates. Kicking off February 1, 2007, in Baltimore, the tour will crisscross the country for seven weeks and appear in over 40 cities across the US and Canada, personally bringing the message of help and hope to thousands of young people.
Headlining the sixth annual Take Action! Tour this year is The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, performing with Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, A Static Lullaby and Kaddisfly. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ debut album, Don’t You Fake It, has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album was released just 4 months ago and entered the Billboard Top 200 national album sales chart at #25, they currently have the #6 song in the country at Alternative Radio with "Face Down," which tackles the tough topic of domestic violence.
Take Action, founded by Hopeless & Sub City Records, aims to create a better world, one voice and one action at a time. By working with various non-profit organizations, Take Action strives to educate people about the positive difference that can be made by each of us in our community through activism and charitable work.
The 2007 Take Action! Tour and the Take Action Volume 6 Compilation once again support the Youth America Hotline! 1-877-YOUTHLINE (968-8454). 10% of all ticket sales and 5% of the retail price for each compilation CD are donated directly to the organization. The benefiting charity was founded by the Kristin Brooks Hope Center to help young people in crisis through peer-to-peer counseling and education about mental health issues. Take Action raised over $100,000 last year for the Youth America Hotline!
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus band members are working on becoming certified crisis counselors for the Youth America Hotline! “We are really proud to be headlining this great tour and to personally help with the cause. We are also happy to continue spreading the awareness of domestic abuse through the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence,” says lead vocalist Ronnie Winter.
Over 40,000 fans attended the 2006 Take Action! Tour, surpassing previous tours and exposing more young people to resources that could save their lives. Since the tour began, government funding for suicide prevention has increased from $0 to $16 million. With the completion of the 2007 Take Action! Tour Hopeless/Sub City Records is projected to surpass $1 million in charitable donations to various non-profit organizations.
Hot Topic, the music lifestyle mall retailer (hottopic.com), is once again the title sponsor of the tour. Hot Topic is a natural fit, as they demonstrate a passion for music in everything they do. Since the inception of Take Action in 1999, Hot Topic has been an enthusiastic supporter of the Take Action cause, helping to save countless lives and educate millions of people to make a difference. Additional 2007 Take Action! Tour sponsors include Purevolume.com, Alternative Press Magazine, Chord Magazine, Fanscape, Punknews.org, Absolutepunk.net, Stim.TV, Downloadpunk.com, and Rockthestreet.com.
The tour has an incredible history of helping bands break out into the mainstream. Bands that have previously performed on the tour include Anti-Flag, Avenged Sevenfold, Hawthorne Heights, Jimmy Eat World, Matchbook Romance, Silverstein, Sugarcult, The Early November, Thrice, and many more.
