Jan 29th, 2009 NEVERSHOUTNEVER! TO RELEASE SELF-TITLED DEBUT THIS MAY; DEBUT RELEASE PRODUCED BY FORREST KLINE OF HELLOGOODBYEBAND TO HEADLINE U.S. TOUR BEGINNING FEB 26; FOLLOWED BY BAMBOOZLE ROAD SHOW TOUR; SHOWCASES AT SXSW, AND DATES ON THE VANS WARPED TOUR
January 29, 2009—NeverShoutNever!, the brain child of singer/songwriter/guitarist Christofer Drew of Joplin, Missouri, is keeping busy in anticipation of its self-titled debut release this May. Preparing to embark on a U.S. headlining tour with The Scene Aesthetic, The Honorary Title, and The Bigger Lights February 26 in Evansville, Indiana, NeverShoutNever!, (singer/guitarist Drew, and touring musicians bassist Taylor McFee and drummer Nathan Ellison), already has 26 million MySpace plays, over 15,000 EPs and 125,000 tracks sold on iTunes, all as an unsigned artist.
Having just wrapped a full U.S. tour with Hellogoodbye, NeverShoutNever! will be on the Bamboozle Road Show Tour beginning April 4 in Irvine, California along with We The Kings, and Forever The Sickest, among others.
Turning down multiple record label offers, NSN!’s Christofer Drew instead opted to release the record on his own. Working with Hellogoodbye’s Forrest Kline as producer at his new Phantom Tollbooth Studios in Long Beach, CA, expect the release of the band’s video for “Bigcitydreams” (shot in Red Hook, Brooklyn) soon.
With features already run in Alternative Press, Billboard Magazine, and AMP Magazine, as well as Internet coverage on AbsolutePunk.net, AOL, and The Daily Chorus, not to mention a highly visible performance on MTV’s “TRL” over the summer, 2009 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for the band. NeverShoutNever! is looking forward to performing at numerous showcases at SXSW in Austin, TX in March; shows to include a Billboard showcase, Purevolume showcase, Photofinish Records showcase, and To Write Love On Her Arms showcase. This summer, the band will be playing the SmartPunk Stage on the Vans Warped Tour July 20 – August 9.

Jan 6th, 2009 R.I.P. DARTIS MCMACKIN, MOTHER OF PENNYWISE DRUMMER BYRON MCMACKINSunday night, January 4, Dartis Marie McMackin, mother to Pennywise drummer Byron McMackin, passed away. Known around her Lawndale, California neighborhood as the funny, little lady who proudly wore her Pennywise T-shirt to the grocery store, Dartis will be greatly missed. Byron and the rest of the band are grateful for your support in this time of sorrow.
Dartis McMackin (Dec. 12, 1934 - Jan. 4, 2009)
The following post appeared on the MySpace page of band friends Roadrash and Yuka:
OUR CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO THE MCMACKINS AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO KNEW DARTIS. SHE WAS A FUNNY LITTLE LADY THAT LOVED HER KIDS AND WAS VERY PROUD OF THEM AS WELL. SHE WOULD ALWAYS GLOW WHEN SHE TALKED OF BYRON'S OR BUBBA'S BANDS. SHE WAS VERY SUPPORTIVE OF HER SONS. SHE LIVED CLOSE BY TO ME AND I WOULD ALWAYS SEE HER WALKING TO THE STORE WITH HER PW SHIRTS ON. I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT WAS RAD.
DARTIS WAS ALWAYS MORE THAN NICE TO ME AND I NEVER HEARD HER HAVE A BAD WORD FOR ANYONE. SHE GAVE ME A PENNYWISE WRISTBAND FOR CHRISTMAS AND NOW THAT BRACELET MEANS A LOT MORE TO ME. JUST WRITING THIS IS A REAL BUMMER AND HURTS.
MUCH LOVE FROM THE RODRIGUEZ FAMILY TO THE MCMACKINS. BUBBA AND BYRON HAVE SHOWN A LOT OF PEOPLE A GOOD TIME AROUND HERE FOR YEARS, PAY THEM BACK BY SHOWIN' SOME LOVE AND SUPPORT IN THEIR TIME OF NEED.
LOVE YOU GUYS!
MIKE AND YUKA

Hopeless Records Band ALL TIME LOW Named Alternative Press' “Band Of The Year”!
Band Set To Perform on MTV's New Year's Eve Special with Miley Cyrus, Metro Station, The Academy Is...
Alternative Press is pleased to announce Maryland 4-piece ALL TIME LOW as the 2008 “Band of the Year”, as well as the cover boys of their February issue. The ballots for the 2008 Readers Poll were the deciding factor for the award that's previously been bestowed upon Paramore, Fall Out Boy, and Avenged Sevenfold. The upcoming issue also has the guys dishing on their recent headlining tour, fans, and their impending sophomore album.
AP readers also named the bands recent video for "Poppin'" as the “Coolest Music Video of the Year.” The February issue (#247) goes on sale everywhere Tuesday, January. 6. For more info, head to www.altpress.com.
ALL TIME LOW will ring in 2009 with a live performance on MTV's annual New Year's Eve special, with host Miley Cyrus and additional performances by Metro Station, The Academy Is... and Kevin Rudolph. The special will air live on Wednesday, December 31st from 8-9:30pm ET, with an encore presentation at 10:30pm ET featuring a live countdown from Times Square.
Signed to Hopeless while still in high school, ALL TIME LOW released its Put Up or Shut Up EP in 2006, which quickly lodged itself on the Billboard Charts. Its breakthrough full-length So Wrong It’s Right came out in 2007 launching the hits “Dear Maria (Count Me In)” and “Poppin’”, helping to further cement the band’s standing as pop-punk favorites. With a new album tentatively set for release this summer and continued support from fans and media outlets such as MTV/mtvU, Alternative Press, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Absolutepunk.net to name a few, 2009 looks to be another stellar year for ALL TIME LOW.

MTV and Pepsi to Offer Viewers and Partygoers Opportunities to Share Text Messages Tapping into Their Hope and Optimism for the New Year On Air or on MTV's HD Screen in Times Square
NEW YORK, December 19, 2008 - While Times Square will certainly have its share of New Year's Eve festivities counting down to 2009, MTV has teamed up with Miley Cyrus, one of music's biggest stars, to celebrate the year's end with one of the biggest parties of the year, "FNMTV Presents: A Miley-Sized Surprise...New Year's Eve 2009." The special will air live on Wednesday, December 31st from 8-9:30pm ET, with an encore presentation at 10:30pm ET featuring a live countdown from Times Square. Viewers will be treated to special live performances from Miley, who'll be hosting the show from the house of a lucky fan, and ringing in the new year by congratulating someone who spent 2008 helping to better
the lives of others.
After Miley surprises the lucky fan by showing up on her doorstep, they'll spend the day hanging out together, participating in activities for the fan's favorite charity, and visiting with friends. Along the way, Miley will be showering her with gifts and treats throughout the festivities. Let's just say it'll be a giant "Miley-sized" surprise like no other when the party begins, including performances by Miley from the winning fan's bedroom, another featuring Metro Station and more! We're talking total takeover here.
We'll keep the party going from MTV's Times Square studio, which will host performances from All Time Low, The Academy Is... and Kevin Rudolf. Emceeing from our studios will be Aussie twin duo Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, better known as The Veronicas, who will be on hand to interview the show's performers and revel in the night's festivities.
In addition, MTV and Pepsi are closing out the final hours of 2008 by engaging consumers in a live text-to-screen dialogue about how they plan to refresh themselves and the world in 2009. People in Times Square can text NYE to 66333 to submit messages that may appear on MTV's HD Times Square Screen, MTV 44 1/2, and TV viewers can text CHANGE to 66333 for
the chance that their comments will appear on a crawl at the bottom of the television programming throughout MTV's New Year's Eve shows. Beyond that, MTV will have select clips from NYE programming as mobile video to all carrier partners as well as photo galleries, MTV News coverage and Remote Control blog coverage on the MTV mobile Internet site at m.mtv.com.
MTV.com will also feature photos, clips, and performances, including two performances from the night that won't be seen anywhere else. The broadcast of "FNMTV Presents: A Miley-Sized Surprise...New Year's Eve 2009" will be offered to over 100 MTV Radio Network Affiliates across the country exclusively by Westwood One.
"FNMTV Presents: A Miley-Sized Surprise...New Year's Eve 2009" is Executive Produced by Summer Strauch and Nancy McDonald. Matthew Parillo is Executive In Charge of Production for the special.
