Avenged Sevenfold, the self-titled and self-produced follow-up to the 2005 million-selling City of Evil, topped the Billboard Alternative, Hard and Rock Charts this week. It also debuted at Number Four on the Billboard Top 200, marking the biggest sales week ever for the Huntington Beach based band. Avenged Sevenfold was released on October 30th by Warner Bros. Records.
"Almost Easy," the first single for the album, exploded into the Top 10 at Active Rock and Top 20 at Alternative in less than a month. In addition, the video for "Almost Easy" is in MTV2's You Rock The Deuce Countdown and the Number One Most Played Video on Fuse. The video will also be a First Look video today on MTV's TRL.
The praises have only just begun. The LA Times boldly states, "Young rock musicians rarely radiate sanctity. But tune in to the clean power, honed chops and multi-part arrangements of 'Avenged Sevenfold,'" while Entertainment Weekly declares Avenged Sevenfold's "musicianship is unimpeachable." Revolver Magazine declares this "magnum opus...is the work of five extremely talented and deeply industrious musicians," and Guitar World has positioned the band to be "the next great American Rock Band." All of this is evidence that Avenged Sevenfold is not only a band but a lifestyle. As the LA Times says, their fans "come in devotion."
As lead singer M. Shadows says, "We have the best fans in the world. This album is for them."
Now see them for yourself.

Chicago's The Frantic are releasing their all killer, no filler debut full-length, Audio and Murder tomorrow!
Having already gained support from places like Chicago Sun Times (http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/music/poprock/632635,WKP-News-sound02.article) Chicago Tribune's Redeye (http://redeye.chicagotribune.com/red-chitunes-frantic,0,4885186.htmlstory?coll=red-frontfeatures1) and suburban Chicago's Beep (http://www.beepcentral.com/story.aspx?story=19417) The Frantic's turbo-charged debut is loaded with angst and attitude, so mosh pits of the world better look out!
While each of the members are still in their teens, The Frantic has played Warped Tour and shared stages with Bad Brains, Bad Religion, Riverboat Gamblers, Pink Spiders, New Found Glory and Youth Brigade to name a few. One of their out-of-control performances caught the eye of famed multi-platinum producer Mudrock (Avenged Sevenfold, Riverboat Gamblers, Alice Cooper) who was so impressed he flew them out to L.A. and produced Audio & Murder.
Fans should note that amongst all the available copies of Audio & Murder will be five backstage passes, think Willy Wonka and his golden tickets, where the lucky, random winners will each be able to have their very own private, ear splitting concert for up to 50 friends courtesy of The Frantic.
What others are saying about The Frantic:
"Say hello to The Frantic, an honest-to-goodness high school rock band with crafty punk leanings so close to Rise Against’s early days it’s scary...."- Beep
"With a foundation cemented in straight up punk and a shell accented with catchy hooks and just enough mainstream flair, The Frantic are sure to be another Chicago-spawned phenomenon..."- www.Popularunderground.com
"This week marks the release of The Frantic's fast and fun album...If you’ve been itching for some new punk rock in your life then this is a great album for you..."
