May 28th, 2008 CONFIDE READY THEIR SCIENCE RECORDS’ DEBUT RELEASE SHOUT THE TRUTH; IN STORES JUNE 17 BAND HITS THE ROAD THIS SUMMER ON VANS WARPED TOUR ROCKING THE SMARTPUNK STAGE
May 28, 2008—Southern California post hardcore outfit Confide is all about winning over fans and making friends. Armed with the goods to enthrall the masses, i.e. aggressive, bone-crushing vocals infused with chugging guitar riffs and eloquent lyrics, the band will take their songs on the road this summer on the Vans Warped Tour where they will pummel the Smartpunk Stage on a daily basis.
“We want to let the kids know that we love them,” singer/guitarist Ross Kenyon explains. “The only reason we play shows is to meet them and become their friend. We want to encourage and be there for them, however and whenever we can. That’s the whole point of this band and this project, to be there for people.”
Working with producer Cameron Webb (Pennywise, Silverstein, 30 Seconds To Mars) at Hurley Studio in Orange County, Calif., the songs on Shout The Truth were inspired by Kenyon’s hopeful outlook.
Confide, made up of singer Ross Kenyon, bassist Billy Pruden, drummer Arin Ilejay and guitarists Aaron Van Zutphen and Jeff Helberg, has created a fiercely solid album. And like their Science Record label mates Blessthefall and Greeley Estates, Confide delivers an adrenaline-fueled live show that does not disappoint.
Shout The Truth will be available for purchase at all Confide shows and at www.Smartpunk.com prior to its official release date on June 17.
Confide is also scheduled to play a record release show at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA on June 12th.

May 15th, 2008 Hit The Lights Return With "Skip School, Start Fights" Out July 8th --Announce Spring/Summer Tour Plans! Lima, Ohio pop punkers HIT THE LIGHTS will release their sophomore record Skip School, Start Fights July 8th on Triple Crown Records. Skip School, Start Fights is the follow up to 2006's buzzworthy This Is A Stickup...Don't Make It A Murder which put Hit The Lights on the map and saw them tour with New Found Glory, Paramore, Cute Is What We Aim For, Cartel and Boys Like Girls. The band will be on the road all summer, see below for confirmed dates with Set Your Goals, All Time Low, I Am The Avalanche and more.
Skip School, Start Fights was produced by Rob Freeman (Hidden In Plain View) at Pilot Studios in New Jersey and mixed by Zach Odom and Kenneth Mount (Mayday Parade, All Time Low, Cartel).
Hit The Lights went through a lineup shuffle before they recorded Skip School, Start Fights. When former lead singer Colin Ross left the band last summer to pursue the quiet life, HTL decided it was time to unleash their secret weapon...it was time for their guitar player, Nick Thompson, to step into the limelight as lead singer. So how do they sound now that Nick's leading the charge? Better than ever. Obviously. Hit The Lights are now a four piece consisting of Nick Thompson (Vocals), Omar Zehery (Guitar), Nate Van Dame (Drums) and Dave Bermusk (Bass).

May 14th, 2008 The Briggs To Release Come All You Madmen June 17 On SideOneDummy Records; Catch Them On Vans Warped Tour All Summer; Band Confirmed For Reading and Leeds Festivals In August LA’s The Briggs are set to release their new effort, entitled Come All You Madmen, on June 17.
Founded by singing guitarists brothers Jason and Joey LaRocca, The Briggs are rounded out by Chris Arredondo on drums and Ryan Roberts on bass. The Brigg’s fourth release features that tight, in-your-face sound the band has honed to perfection with six solid years of touring under their belts with the likes of Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, Anti-Flag, The Living End, and Dropkick Murphys.
The dozen blistering tracks on Come All You Madmen were penned on acoustic guitar while out on the road with Dropkick Murphys. Teaming up with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones bassist Joe Gittleman as producer, the band was determined to keep their ferocious live sound intact.
Creating a more aggressive, yet melodic and folky record, Come All You Madmen finds The Briggs at their very best.
“We figured there was no point in f**king around in making a boring, safe record,” Jason LaRocca declares, “so we turned it up a notch, pushed our own limits out of the comfort zone. We went more extreme.”
Featuring guest appearances from punk rock icons Brian Baker (Bad Religion, Minor Threat), Ken Casey (Dropkick Murphys) and Dicky Barrett (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones), Come All You Madmen erupts with explosive, anthem-like working class street punk. From the soaring guitars on the fist-pumping “Charge Into The Sun” to the hometown shout out on “LA” and the marching beats of the Irish inspired sing-along “Mad Men” and the acoustic folk offering of “Oblivion,” The Briggs continue to establish themselves as one of punk’s most respectable and memorable acts.
Catch The Briggs this summer as they tour the U.S. on the Van’s Warped Tour. The band was already recently added to the lineup for both the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK this August.
