Jun 17th, 2008 The Briggs' Come All You Madmen In Stores Today Catch Them On Vans Warped Tour Starting Friday And On Fuel TV's The Daily Habit June 27th!!!
LA’s The Briggs'Come All You Madmen hits stores today, just in time for the kickoff of their summer long stint on Vans Warped Tour.
Founded by singing guitarists brothers Jason and Joey LaRocca, The Briggs are rounded out by Chris Arredondo on drums and Ryan Roberts on bass. The Brigg’s fourth release features that tight, in-your-face sound the band has honed to perfection with six solid years of touring under their belts with the likes of Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, Anti-Flag, The Living End, and Dropkick Murphys.
The dozen blistering tracks on Come All You Madmen were penned on acoustic guitar while out on the road with Dropkick Murphys. Teaming up with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones bassist Joe Gittleman as producer, the band was determined to keep their ferocious live sound intact.
Creating a more aggressive, yet melodic and folky record, Come All You Madmen finds The Briggs at their very best.
“We figured there was no point in f**king around in making a boring, safe record,” Jason LaRocca declares, “so we turned it up a notch, pushed our own limits out of the comfort zone. We went more extreme.”
Featuring guest appearances from punk rock icons Brian Baker (Bad Religion, Minor Threat), Ken Casey (Dropkick Murphys) and Dicky Barrett (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones), Come All You Madmen erupts with explosive, anthem-like working class street punk. From the soaring guitars on the fist-pumping “Charge Into The Sun” to the hometown shout out on “LA” and the marching beats of the Irish inspired sing-along “Mad Men” and the acoustic folk offering of “Oblivion,” The Briggs continue to establish themselves as one of punk’s most respectable and memorable acts.
Catch The Briggs this summer as they tour the U.S. on the Van’s Warped Tour. The band was already recently added to the lineup for both the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK this August.
The Briggs recently taped a 2 song set for Fuel TV's The Daily Habit which airs June 27 and again on June 30. Check www.fuel.tv for times.
What others are saying about The Briggs' Come All You Madmen:
" The Los Angeles roughnecks yank punk back into the seedy world of crumbling concrete, broken booze bottles and urban grime where it belongs...charges forward just like any punk album worth its salt does: It gallops on a mix of power and freewheeling inhibition"
-Aversion.com
"Table-pounding, stein-waving pub rock is good for the soul. That's enough to recommend the Briggs, but add to that lyricsthat celebrate the art of joyful rage, songs that demand audience participation and vocals that combine the best elements of old-school punk, amped-up Irish balladry, whisky rasp, and soapbox exhortation, and you've got a perfect tonic for these dispirited times."- Drum! Magazine
"On their fiery fourth album, Come All You Madmen, the Briggs play tight and they play sharp, expertly mixing sweat-filled aggression and heartfelt melody into twelve potent, fist-pumping tracks of folky, working-class punk...there's a certain vigor and freshness present that sets the Briggs apart from most of their punk brethren."
-Allmusic
"Get ready to stomp your boots and pump your fists to The Briggs ' latest creation..."
-Cleveland Leader

Jun 9th, 2008 REEL BIG FISH STORMS VANS WARPED TOUR MAINSTAGE ALL SUMMERPERENNIAL PRANKSTER SKA-PUNKERS TOURING IN SUPPORT OF THEIR SELF-PRODUCED MONKEYS FOR NOTHIN’ AND THE CHIMPS FOR FREE
BAND IN STUDIO NOW WORKING ON SUPER, TOP SECRET MAGNUM OPUS PROJECT…STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS!
June 3, 2008-- Southern California ska-punk stalwart Reel Big Fish has been blazing a trail of angst-filled, shenanigan-loaded rock for 15 years now. And it seems their legendary summer treks are always a rite of passage for fans. This summer will be no different when the band takes its hi-jinx brand of ska/punk rock to the main stage of the Vans Warped Tour on a daily basis.
Touring in support of their self-produced Monkeys For Nothin’ And The Chimps For Free release, singer Aaron Barrett is anxious to hit the road. " We can't wait to get back out on tour and get our hands dirty,” Barrett declares, “and since it's the Warped Tour, probably everything else dirty too. Oh and playing music will be fun as well! "
In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard the new tunes on Monkeys For Nothin’ And The Chimps For Free expect weirder and sillier songs this time around. The record covers classic Reel Big Fish fare, including random gibberish, love songs, hate songs, drinking songs and even songs about girlfriends (even though the band members are all married now). "It's everything you ever wanted, needed and never expected from Reel Big Fish," Barrett points out.
Currently in the studio working on a hush-hush, top secret project of epic proportions, please stay tuned for further details.
Having just won over a bevy of fans in Mexico City last month, RBF will play Brazil for the first time in the fall after Warped Tour wraps up.
