AFI’S HUNTER BURGAN AND VIVA HATE'S MATT WEDGLEY AVAILABLE FOR INTERVIEWS
June 29, 2008— NorCal hardcore/punk band, The Force, is reuniting for the first time in 10 years. Singer Matt Wedgley (Viva Hate), bassist Hunter Burgan (AFI), guitarist Mark Roustabout (The Roustabouts) and the inimitable drummer Chad Cox went their separate ways after the band’s final show in 1998, each following his own path to personal and professional success.
This reunion will give fans as well as those who missed The Force the first time around a chance to witness California hardcore/punk at its truest and finest.
The Force will only be playing three shows, the first of which will be in their hometown of Grass Valley, CA (a small town in the Sierra Nevada foothills, between Sacramento and Reno) followed by a Bay Area concert and finally a Southern California stop. The dates are as follows:
August 29, 2008 - Miner's Foundry in Nevada City (Grass Valley), CA
August 30, 2008 - 924 Gilman St. in Berkeley, CA
August 31, 2008 - Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA
Formed in May of 1995, the band recorded and toured for three years. The Force released several recordings, including a 7", a 10" and a split 7" as well as a number of songs on compilations.
This reunion will coincide with the release of a complete discography, containing every song The Force ever recorded. A limited edition, 21-song double-LP will be sold at the shows as well as online while supplies last.

Currently out on the Vans Warped Tour, these LA punkers return for performances of “What Was I Thinking” and “Charge Into The Sun" off their latest release Come All You Madmen (Sideonedummy).
What others are saying about The Briggs' Come All You Madmen:
"...this is certainly one f***ing excellent album... (9 out of 10)"- Rock Sound (UK)
" The Los Angeles roughnecks yank punk back into the seedy world of crumbling concrete, broken booze bottles and urban grime where it belongs...charges forward just like any punk album worth its salt does: It gallops on a mix of power and freewheeling inhibition"
"Table-pounding, stein-waving pub rock is good for the soul. That's enough to recommend the Briggs, but add to that lyricsthat celebrate the art of joyful rage, songs that demand audience participation and vocals that combine the best elements of old-school punk, amped-up Irish balladry, whisky rasp, and soapbox exhortation, and you've got a perfect tonic for these dispirited times."- Drum! Magazine
"On their fiery fourth album, Come All You Madmen, the Briggs play tight and they play sharp, expertly mixing sweat-filled aggression and heartfelt melody into twelve potent, fist-pumping tracks of folky, working-class punk...there's a certain vigor and freshness present that sets the Briggs apart from most of their punk brethren."- Allmusic
"Get ready to stomp your boots and pump your fists to The Briggs ' latest creation..." -Cleveland Leader

THE PENANCE & THE PATIENCE EP
ON SALE DIGITALLY
AUGUST 5 VIA SCIENCE RECORDS
CURRENTLY TOURING OVERSEAS, THE BAND WILL HEAD STATESIDE IN SEPTEMBER TO BEGIN WORK ON FULL-LENGTH RELEASE
U.S. FALL TOUR PLANNED FOR SEPTEMBER
June 25, 2008 - Championed as “young Aussie rockers who are gunning for new ground” by Alternative Press, Closure In Moscow, a five-piece from down under, is indeed looking to widen its fan base with its catchy, yet melodic, brand of progressive, avant-garde rock. The band’s debut EP The Penance & The Patience (which was originally released in Australia on Taperjean Records and debuted at No. 13 on the Australian Independent Album Charts) will be available as a digital-only release in the U.S. starting August 5 via Science Records.
Having taken on odd jobs to self-finance their EP, or albumette as they say in Australia, the band members (vocalist Chris De Cinque, guitarists Manny Zennelli and Michael Barrett, bassist Brad Kimber and drummer Beau) even sold their cars to fly out producer Kris Crummett (Kaddisfly, Dance Gavin Dance) to their hometown of Melbourne to record.
Reminiscent of The Mars Volta, Circa Survive, and Chiodos, Closure in Moscow has more in common with complex, seasoned bands like Rush and Tool than they do with fellow Aussie rockers AC/DC; pretty impressive for a band whose average age is 21.
Currently selling out shows all over Australia and touring with the likes of Coheed and Cambria, the band will head Stateside in September to begin writing songs for their upcoming full-length release which should be out late ‘08/early ‘09. A fall U.S. tour from September through November is in the works right now.
