Party Central in Vancouver these past few years has been without a doubt Dude Manor, home to brash upstarts Living With Lions. Like the out-of-control Sunset Strip squalors of Mötley Crüe, and Guns N’ Roses before them, where decadence and bravado ruled the roost, Dude Manor was known for ruckus parties and quickly became a popular hotspot for any east Vancouver youth seeking mayhem, before a final, wall-destroying party did it in for good. It also gave birth to Living With Lions’ stellar debut EP. Now U.S. fans can get their hands on the band’s follow-up effort, Make Your Mark on Adeline Records.
Known for cranking out passionate, anthem-friendly punk rock fueled by grit, determination and ridiculously catchy melodies, the band calls like-minded acts such as Lifetime, Hot Water Music, and A Wilhelm Scream, to name a few, influences.
A five piece band, Living With Lions (singer Matt Postal; guitarists Chase Brenneman and Landon Matz; bassist Shayne Lundberg; drummer Loren Legare) manages to establish a foundation for its unique take on the genre while wholeheartedly embracing the raucous attitude and communal spirit of punk rock.
